A beautiful thing about improving your putting technique is that the benefits are instantaneous. If you follow the instructions in this newsletter right now, you will be a considerably better scoring golfer a few minutes from now. You can practice on any smooth surface. The reason that your putting will improve much more rapidly than your full shots is the lack of physiological adaptation required for improved putting compared to the full swing. Improved full shots usually require grip changes which take time to become accustomed to. Improved full shots also require increased flexibility which occurs only over time as a byproduct of a proper full swing and/or through flexibility exercises like those demonstrated in my Isometric Stretch Video. The grip changes for great putting can be mastered in minutes. The stroke requires virtually no flexibility or other physical attributes required for full shots. Putting is approximately 25% art and 75% science. With focused concentration
and application you will master the scientific portion in minutes.
You may never be a putting artist at the level of Phil Mickelson, Raymond
Floyd, Corey Pavin, Brad Faxon, or Ben Crenshaw, etc. On the other
hand you may already have the magic artistic touch. If so, once you
master the science you will putt as well as anyone.
