Tips & Quotes:

What Arnold Palmer, Nancy Lopez and Other Top Professionals Are Saying Nancy Lopez was recently interviewed by USA Today and was quoted as saying with the advancements in technology, if you don't change clubs every few years, you're gonna get left behind. Arnold Palmer has said that he is hitting the ball as far today as he did in his prime because of the current state of the art equipment.

In the last year or so the advances have been so dramatic that it compares to the difference between a regular size wood frame tennis racket and a current state of the art oversize metal or composite racket. It's like comparing a horse and buggy to a Ferrari.

I personally am hitting the ball better than I ever have in my life, even though my other activities have kept me away from the course and practice tee much of the time. The current equipment is lighter, more forgiving, more responsive and just plain more fun to play. Because the components are lighter, we can routinely build clubs overlength and still keep the overall weight lighter, thus adding more leverage and distance. Our current head designs provide so much more margin for error that scores drop dramatically." -- Bob Mann

Avoid giving the course and your golfing buddies an extra advantage they don't deserve. Test the current technology and you'll see and feel the difference.

Golfer's Diet Tips:

Eat your most substantial protein meal as early in the day as possible. Make your supper as light as possible (preferably soup and/or salad). You'll notice how much better you feel and look, how much better you sleep and even how much better you play.  This protein early method balances your energy by releasing sugar into the blood slowly.  This plan also helps you control your weight.

Golfer's Fitness Tip:

It's hard to imagine a more pleasurable golf activity than going out late in the afternoon, when the course is uncrowded, and walking a brisk round.  If you do this alone it gives you a good opportunity to hit some mulligans or multi-mulligans and work on various parts of your game.  Purchase a small, light bag.  Carry only about half your clubs and walk the course.  Shift the bag from shoulder to shoulder to balance your posture.
