Question from Micheal: Strong Grip

Bob, could you tell me your opinion of why so many touring players seem to be going to the "Stronger" grip and what the effect of using a stronger grip would be with the Automatic Golf swing?

Dear Micheal:

The touring players that are using a strong grip (hands rotated to the right) are doing so to draw the ball. There are great players who primarily fade the ball and conversely, many who draw the ball. A ball that is drawn will go further.

However, not all courses favor "draw" players. So it is best to be able to both fade or draw the ball. See "Automatic Golf: Specialty Shots Video.
