Question from Wesley: Left Thumb

Dear Wesley:

The placement of the left thumb has a major impact on a golfer's success. The left thumb should touch the side of the palm just above the left forefinger. There should definitely be no gap between the left thumb and the rest of the left hand. Therefore it should be straight down the right center of the shaft and not wrapped around the club.

The grip with the left thumb should be a short grip. You don't want your left thumb wandering down the shaft. In other words the tip of the left thumb should be above the crook of the forefinger.

The grip with the left hand and the angle of the head in the starting position are the two most important issues in having an Automatic Golf swing.

I go into great detail about these vital issues on the videos and suggest that you order them.

Golfingly Yours,
Bob Mann
