Question from Bill: Irons
Dear Bill:
Rhino, the company to whom I license my
name on golf clubs and for whom I design clubs is able to sell top
quality at a lower price because they are dealing directly with you
and not a middle man who would normally make up to 40%.
The above is the short answer but there
is a longer answer that is more revealing. Low priced items frequently
cost more when purchased in response to a direct marketing campaign.
This occurs because the advertising cost per item sold is frequently
higher than a retailers mark-up. In the case of popular higher ticket
items like my clubs, the direct marketing cost is substantially lower
than the middle man's mark-up.
We have another incentive for keeping the
price down. We get a lot of referral customers because of the combination
of quality, playability and value. Thanks for ordering.
Golfingly Yours,
Bob Mann
