Question from Rick: Grip
Dear Bob:Hey Bob, I have a problem with keeping the same grip. I can play most of the time with m/no problem. But lately im not feeling the comfort like before. It's like im lost with my left hand. Help me please!
Dear Rick:
Assuming there are no limiting physical issues, here's the skinny on the left hand grip. It is probably the most important single aspect of the golf technique. A good proper left hand grip (for right handed players) goes a long way to insuring a proper stance and proper muscle action thru-out the swing. The gripping pressure in the left hand must be with the last 3 fingers only. No forefinger pressure or thumb squeezing. The left hand must be cupped, in other words an agle between the club and forearm. The left side of the thumb must be flush against the side of the palm. This procedure is clearly demonstrated thru-out my Automatic Golf series.
