Question from Patrick: Club Shaft Flex

I recently bought my first set of clubs. Until now, I was playing on a set of "hand me downs." One of the biggest problems I faced in buying my clubs was that no one could tell me what shaft flex I needed. Everyone I talked to had a different answer. Could you please tell me a little about the different flexes available and what type player should play them. Thanks for everything!
