Question from Brad: Employment

Dear Brad:

Positions in golf do not pay much at the entry level. The issue is supply and demand. There are only a certain number of jobs and tons of people who want to work in the golf industry.

Head professionals at nice facilities make excellent money. That is something you might achieve in the future.

Because with the rapid growth of the sport, you might find it at least reasonably easy to gain employment if you have a pleasant personality and are persistent. However, I suggest that if making big money is your objective, you should take up bank robbing. Remember what Willie Sutton said. He robbed banks "because there's money in it."

Do not, however, produce any golf instruction videos. I don't want any competition.

Golfingly Yours,
Bob Mann
