Dear Bob:

My drives are quite long byut I notice a divot only a few feet from wehre the ball lands. I have no roll on my drives. What causes this and is it normal?

Dear J:

Yes the divot is proof of soft fairways. So you might want to use a higher loft driver to get more carry on that course.
