Question from Russell: Distance

Dear Russell:

Sounds like you have lost your flexibility. Start doing Yoga or acquire a good book or video which demonstrates some simple flexibility moves. This is such an important issue that I did a video on the subject "Isometric Stretch". For more information on how to acquire this video call 1-800-LUV-GOLF.

Be sure when doing any stretching exercise, to move slowly. It's also a good idea to take a warm bath or shower before doing stretches. Another option is to stretch after a brisk walk or other exercise as exercise raises the body temperature which in turn makes stretching easier.

One of the most fundamental golf stretching exercises is done as follows:
1. Lay down on your back.
2. Raise either leg until it points to the ceiling.
3. Lower the raised foot towards the floor on the opposite side of your body while keeping your shoulders flat on the floor.
4. Repeat with other leg.

Golfingly Yours,
Bob Mann
