Question from Bryan: Club Length

Dear Bryan:

Congratulations on a great question.

The length of the club has nothing to do with the distance that your hands are from your body. When I speak about standing close to the ball, I am talking about keeping your hands close to your body. The club length will determine how far you are from the ball.

The real issue is keeping your hands close to the body so the swing is inclined to follow a path that is back and forth along the target line rather than around your body. This is equally true and achievable with any length club.

Golfingly Yours,
Bob Mann
