Question from Sankar: The Pros
Dear Sankar:
This
was an easier question to answer a few years ago than it is today.
The answer would have been Jack Nicklaus.
The
player that most personifies my Automatic Golf method is Tom Watson.
Tiger
Woods also employs excellent technique.
Greg Norman is capable of the most spectacular performance,
but he is not as steady as Nicklaus was in his prime. Nick Faldo has
a fabulous competitive temperament. Nick Price is an excellent ball-striker,
but in the last couple of years he's developed "The Try Hard" putting
technique which interrupts the free flowing roll of the ball. And
that works to his detriment.
The
bottom line is, there is no one player that I would describe as
the best
on an on-going basis, at this time.
